How does the PIN unlock work?
You set a PIN and can unlock any time you enter it. It is the gentlest level, good for light focus where you mainly need a speed bump rather than a wall. The PIN will not stop a determined craving; it stops the absent-minded unlock, which for everyday focus is most of the problem.
What that means in practice
- Best for work sessions where you may legitimately need an app back mid-session.
- If you find yourself typing the PIN without deciding to, that is the signal to move up a level.
