Unlock difficulty levels
Can I change the difficulty after I've started?
For gentle sessions like a Soft Lock, yes: you can stop or adjust. For hard and Nuclear locks, no. The whole point is that you cannot dial the difficulty back down mid-session, because the version of you who wants to lower it is exactly the one the lock exists to overrule.
What that means in practice
- You can always raise the stakes mid-session; you can never lower them.
- Choose the level deliberately before you commit, not once the craving has started.
