# Something is blocked that I need. How do I unblock just that?

If you are on a gentle level like a PIN or cooldown, remove that app or site from your list, or briefly unlock to adjust it. Under a hard or Nuclear lock it stays blocked until the lock ends, by design. Which is why it is best to block only the things genuinely harming your focus.

## Specifics

- Under Nuclear Mode there is no exception mechanism, not even for support.
- Before arming a hard lock, walk through your week and check nothing essential is on the list.
- On Windows a blocked site can also block known regional versions, such as amazon.de with amazon.com: check those too before arming a hard lock.
- Blocking a whole category can sweep up something you rely on; individual picks are safer for a first hard lock.
